It's been a while...

since I have blogged. I have been contemplating this whole blogging thing and I think that I will just start again and see how it goes.

Since I last blogged I have earned my Masters degree, had a baby, and celebrated 5 years of marriage to my all time BFF! There have been many other happenings but those are the most notable. I will probably write a lot about being a mom (which I LOVE by the way) to my 11 month old but I also going to try to blog about this year which is the year that I turn 30!

On November 4th I will make my grand entrance into my 4th decade of life....yes, I had to think about that but year 30 means the completion of 3 decades. Right? Anyway, there are some things I would like to accomplish in year 29. I reserve the right to add anything to the list and respectively take something off...but ONLY if I have REALLY attempted the task. And I will be the judge of that but I promise to make an honest judgement.

On my list so far:
* Get a bikini wax (just wondering what it's like)
* Lose 30 lbs (seemed like a good number)
* Complete a half-marathon (definitely doable)
* Make a quilt for someone special (never made one before, or really sewn anything for that matter. Except when I was in Home Economics I made a bag. It was quite a feat with my lead foot pushing the peddle on the sewing machine.)
* Get a tattoo (but only if I find the perfect design. Those things last forever!)
* Start blogging again

There are a few other items that I am contemplating but I would really like your input. Ultimately I will pick things that are actually achievable and that resonate with me in some way. What else do you think should go on my list?? I'm pretty sure if Angela sees this she will say sky diving. That is on my contemplation list ;).

Ok so maybe I should also show you the contemplation list.
Here it is:
* Learn to play a song on the guitar (not much musical ability flowing through these veins. Although I don't know why because in Elementary School my music teacher requested that I join the "Highly Abled Music Students", or HAMS group and I really blossomed. Unfortunately it seems as though I did not progress much after this. Bummer.)

*Skydiving
*Shave my head (some of you will not like that)

I'm still thinking. I just really want to use this year to intentionally do some things that I have been meaning to do. Also, I would like it to be fun. So, join me in this journey if you want and let me know if you can come up with some stuff for me to do!! Also, Happy Holiday's!!

I love your blog and love the list even more! I've been trying to convince people shaving my head is a good idea for years.

Hope you have a very merry Christmas! Your Christmas card was adorable :)

Please blog! I promise to read each post :)

Love all the things on your list...my list looks super similar. Why the shaving of the head Jessi???? You look gorgeous with any hairstyle, and I'm sure with no hair at all, too!

Yay! I'm now famous having been named on your blog! Definitely add the skydiving to your 'must do' list. (Although, I can't even get a shot so I can't imagine purposely getting many needles in my body.) :-) I love the pictures and your writing. Love you and miss you sis!
